Bargaining Update – August 2026

The SAHO and HSAS bargaining committees met virtually on August 13 and 14, 2026, to continue collective bargaining negotiations.

The parties reached agreement on Article 17 – Voluntary Reduction of Hours.

The parties continue to exchange proposals on Article 15 – Hours of Work and Article 16 – Allocation of Additional Work. Discussions also remain ongoing regarding Article 21 – Classifications and Vacancies.

With only a limited number of non-monetary matters remaining, SAHO continues to work toward concluding these outstanding issues and moving the parties into discussions on deferred items and monetary proposals to advance negotiations to conclusion. 

SAHO remains committed to reaching a balanced collective agreement that supports employees while ensuring the long-term sustainability, flexibility and effectiveness of Saskatchewan’s healthcare system for the patients and communities it serves. SAHO is prepared to continue working diligently to bring the remaining non-monetary discussions to conclusion and move bargaining forward.

The next bargaining session is scheduled for September 10 and 11, 2026, and will again be held virtually.
