CUPE, SEIU-West, SGEU and SAHO Reach Tentative Agreement

The Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE), Service Employees International Union-West (SEIU-West) and the Saskatchewan Government and General Employees Union (SGEU) have reached a tentative agreement with the Saskatchewan Association of Health Organizations (SAHO Inc.).

“We are pleased that the three health care provider unions were able to collaboratively reach a tentative agreement with SAHO Inc. that will benefit employees while continuing to focus on patient care,” said Mike Higgins, CEO, SAHO Inc.

CUPE represents approximately 14,000 members, SEIU-West represents more than 11,000 members, and SGEU represents over 1,600 members including clerical staff, caretakers, and licensed practical nurses, among other classifications.

The five-year agreement would be effective until March 31, 2022. Details will not be released until after the ratification process has been completed.
